How It Works
- We want copies of the prior 3 years returns you have filed.
- We evaluate these for accuracy (to see if we can go back and file a claim if you have over-paid your taxes or advise you of a potential liability if you under-paid). The statute of limitations is still open on these returns. We will then tell you what we would have charged to prepare the most recent return. Our fee schedule is based on the forms and schedules required to prepare your returns. We start a file for you with these returns.

- We need additional information for our file that is not included in your prior return.
- We need current contact info, i.e., regular mail and e-mail addresses, home, work, fax and cell telephone numbers (with your preferred method of contact). We also need dates of birth and salutations for all family members (i.e., your name is Gregory but you prefer to be called Greg, or your name is Elizabeth, but you would rather we call you Liz or Beth).

- That's it! Call for an appointment if you will be bringing this info in to our office.
- Call us if you intend to forward the info by USPS, Fed Ex or UPS. We don't require retainers on accounts less than $1,000 (which most are, our average fee is $300 to $600). Once you engage our firm, we are available for telephone/e-mail consultation year-round at no additional cost. We will always advise you of estimated charges before any billable work is started. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. If you are audited by the federal or state governments on a return that we prepare, in most cases, we waive our representation fee.
